A big thank you to Legal News Wales for hosting such a fantastic awards evening at the Coal Exchange Hotel.
The event was a real highlight — bringing together legal professionals from across Wales to recognise and celebrate the achievements of firms, teams and individuals who continue to drive the profession forward. It was an opportunity not only to celebrate success, but also to reflect on the strength, innovation and ambition within the Welsh legal community.
We were delighted to attend alongside so many inspiring peers and to hear first-hand about the work taking place across the sector. From excellence in client service to investment in people and innovation, it was clear that the profession continues to evolve in positive and meaningful ways.
This year was particularly special for us as we were proud to be nominated for the Future Lawyers Initiative of the Year award. The nomination recognised the work being done across the firm to support, develop and invest in our trainees — from structured learning and mentoring through to creating a supportive environment where junior members of the team can build confidence and experience.
While we were not among the winners on the night, being shortlisted in this category meant a great deal to us. It reflects a collective effort across the firm and reinforces the importance we place on nurturing talent and creating clear, meaningful pathways into the profession. It is an area we remain deeply committed to, and one we will continue to build on in the years ahead.
A particular highlight of the evening was seeing our trainees experience it first-hand. They represented the firm brilliantly and embraced the opportunity to connect with others in the profession. Events like this play an important role in their development, helping to broaden their perspective and reinforce the opportunities available to them within the legal sector.
We would also like to recognise the colleagues across the firm who support, mentor and guide our trainees every day. Their commitment to developing the next generation of legal talent is something we are genuinely proud of, and evenings like this are a powerful reminder of the impact that work has.
It was a fantastic evening in an exceptional setting, and we are grateful to Legal News Wales for organising such a well-run and enjoyable event.
Congratulations to all of the winners and finalists — the recognition is very well deserved.
